Hippy Barthday Ally!!

Well went out to Nando's in Hounslow yesterday with the mob and celebrated Ally's 16th birthday...ahhhhhhhhhhh.  Enjoyed the delicious chicken provided, and i think Christine enjoyed her salad after finding a dead bug in it which was quite amusing

Moving out tonight and crashing at Mike's so not sure when computer will be up and running again! So long as the stereo works though i'll be fine.

Music - Power Quest - Beyond The Stars (Album - 'Wings Of Forever')

Long time no update again...not that anyone ever reads them apart from me

Went to see W.A.S.P. last Friday which was amazing!  The support band, Hurricane Party, opened up with a good set, and then the of the stagecrew just managed to lift Blackie's mic onto the stage.  Stunning show from the guys, but that's not all...after the show i managed to chat and get a picture with Sam Totman, Herman Li, and ZP from DragonForce! Ahhhhhh!!! That just made my day

Saturday spent the day sitting around tiredly, then in the evening went up to Hounslow West and Battersea to see some fireworks.  Good displays from both venues.  In case you didn't know the fireworks are set off to commemorate the not blowing up of our Parliament in 1605

2nd November 2004, 18:24

Music - Sonata Arctica - The Boy Who Wanted To Be A Real Puppet (Album - 'Reckoning Night')

Now am very tired but am about to settle down and watch Shrek 2

For on Saturday i will be heading up to London to get an exact replacement! After getting totally drenched in my jeans and hoodie we went home..finally meeting up with the Hounslows West lot after Dave directed them to Stafford and not Stratford..well done Dave

22nd October 2004, 12:18

Music - Angra - Time (Album - 'Angels Cry)

Spent the last couple of days working as usual.  Wednesday evening just went up to the youth club to help out.  Last night, in the prayer meeting, Gwynne spoke from Daniel 9:15-19, about how we are to be earnest in our prayers, and it also reminded us of God's great love to us.

20th October 2004, 12:55

Music - Delirious? - To God In Heaven (Album - 'World Service)

Well i survived witnessing Seether live! The support band, Kevin Martin and the Hiwatts were also pretty kool.  Not the best gig i've been to as half the room was full of smoke, so i came back with my hair all tangled and mangled.  But the music was good, atmosphere was good...gotta wait 2 weeks for my next gig now though!

18th October 2004, 23:03

Music - Rock 'N' Roll Worship Circus - The Way That Love Is Made (Album - 'The Listening')

Few days since an update as i was still in Birrrrrrrmingham 'til Sunday noon and this be the first chance i've had to update! After running into a bollard, walking into a door and hitting myself in the face with my skateboard when putting it into the back of me mates jeep, i finally made it to the train station! And then having an extremely late platform change and finding out i'd bought a senior citizens travelcard, and so i had to pay the extra fare on the way back up.  But the Quavers were nice Managed to have time thankfully to go the the morning service where Colin Tamplin, the Pastor or South Birmingham Evangelical Church, spoke from 2 Peter 3:10-18, about how the Dya of Judgement is ready and how we are to prepare ourselves and warn others.  Then in the evening came back to a return to the study our Pastor is going through in Exodus on the life of Moses; he spoke from Exodus 1:11-22, where we have the examples of the midwives being in fear of the Lord and obeying Him rather than Pharaoh.  It showed us that we also should do the same, be submissive to those in authority over us, unless their ways contradict the ways of God.

15th October 2004, 15:21

Music - Taylor Sorensen - Gloria 34 (Album - 'The Overflow')

Well i made it up to Birmingham ok!! I'm still alive! Got round Damo's yesterday and watched The Empire Strikes Back whilst he visited a lady from the church, then as soon as he got back i went off to meet Liz and we saw Delirious?!! And they were just as good as when i saw them the night before in London!! The support bands, Taylor Sorensen and The Rock 'N' Roll Worship Circus made the night even better.  Managed to get hold of their albums and got them signed, had a chat with the bands etc which was reeeally kool....Next gig Seether!!

Music - Riot - Angel Eyes (Album - 'Inishmore')

POWER METAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Went to see DragonForce yesterday and they were amazing!! The opening band, Renegade Playboys, were a bit of a wannabe Kiss but not quite, but i managed to chat with them after and get a signed CD n stuff which ws kool.  But DragonForce just killed the show with their series of extremely fast tunes.  Definately going again when they tour next.  Check out their website.

3rd October 2004, 21:31

Music - The Kennedy Soundtrack - Dark Dayz (Album - 'Tale Of 2 Cities')

This morning's service taken from Mark 10:45, Gwynne spoke about Christ paying the ransom for all our sins.  He died for us and there is no debt we could've paid ourselves to gain life in heaven, it is only through Christ's death we are able to.  In the evening Gwynne continued his study on the Life Of Joseph, and spoke from Genesis 50:19-21, and taught us how God can use evil do to good according to His will.  Everything is in His providence, but it doesn't mean we should deliberately do evil thinking that good will come out of it.

In the afternoon i spent most of it down the church playing a bit of table tennis and pool with Steve.  Now just gonna get an early night i thinkready for work tomorrow....the joys...

2nd October 2004, 22:36

Music - Dubstar - Not So Manic Now (Album - 'Disgraceful')

Not much happen today, did some more skating up at Harrow Skate Park, got to carve the park nicely until it started raining! Then in the evening went out and watched Open Water..i have to say it was absolute pants! Even though it was based on a true story it was just such a cheap budget movie with the only set being the sea itself!

1st October 2004, 22:35

Music - Static-X - Love Dump (Album - 'Wisconsin Death Trip')

Not exactly the busiest day today; spent the whole, yes the whole, morning watching my new skate DVD's  After lunch spent the whole, yes the whole, afternoon downloading some more kicking music and just generally surfing the net Finished the day off at our youth club cutting my elbow attempting an Acid Drop on me skateboard. 27th September 2004, 18:33

Music - Machine Head - Bite The Bullet (Album - 'Through The Ashes Of Empires')

Well i tried to update the site on Saturday! But i was at a mates house and he has a reeeeeally cheesey computer that doesn't do much.  Had a great weekend though, the train journey up to Trowbridge went smoothly, got their at about 16:00 and did a bit of skating after dinner.  Saturday, visited a skatepark 5miles down the road which had just been built, bit sketchy with some of the lining but all-in-all a good new park i'd say

Met up with some of Barney's friends also and had a good old game of Uno, barricaded one of them in the bathroom then pounded him with Kooshballs, had an apple fight and destroyed the garden, then cleaned it all up and had dinner

Sunday morning Paul Oliver spoke on James 2 about how we should not think we are good by keeping some of the commandments, but that we have to keep them ALL.  In the evening he spoke on John 2 where Christ cleans out His Father's house because people had turned it into a market.

Spent today travelling home, although my train was delayed 30mins, i got pooed on by the only pigeon in the station, and no one was at the skatepark to skate with when i got back! But i'm happy now i'm home

23rd September 2004, 21:24

Music - Symphony X - The Divine Wings Of Tragedy (Album - 'The Divine Wings Of Tragedy')

Well had a quieter day at work, spent most of it downloading about 500 more punk/ska/rock sonsg.  Don't worry they aren't illegal! Visit Epitaph Records to download or listen to them.  Went for a skate this evening, and seeing that i hadn't done it in a while i was all stiff and horrible! But managed to pull off some good manuals on the ramps n stuff

No prayer meeting tonight as i had to get home to sort my room out...it had no bed in it..it had been painted cream....no DVD player, not VCR, no X-Box, no Playstation 2, no DVD's, no shoes!!??!!...all in the loft for now sadly!  Still got me computer and CD's though so i'm happy.

Off to Trowbridge tomorrow to visit a mate and hopefully get some good skating footage again..

22nd September 2004, 22:51

Music - Linkin Park - Somewhere I Belong (Album - 'Meteora')

Linkin Park are back!! Man i haven't listened to these guys in ages they rock! Spent today the usual at work, helped out at youth club, then went round Tim's and Kung Pow: Enter The Fist.  Very, very, very silly film with out of the world humour, recommended for all silly people

22nd September 2004, 09:00

Music - Pink - Get The Party Started (Album - 'Missundaztood')

Slightly different night to the usual.  Went up to Ickenham to see a friend perform in the musical 'Godspell'.  Wasn't quite sure what to expect of it, but it was a very good evening and amazingly the performance was going through the life of Christ, with some great messages being put forward along with explainations of all the things Jesus did.  Makes you wonder what the actors/actresses think about it all seriously!?!?! After that just went home and went to bed.

20th September 2004, 22:55

Music - Metalium - Accused To Be A Witch (Giovanna D'Arco) - (Album - 'Hero-Nation (Chapter 3)')

The usual busy day at the office again believe it or not! I was actually busy!!! Did an hour or so skating after picking up my board from a friend's house, the  round to Sarah's house for another wonderful *cough cough* game of Taboo, and a round of Articulate.  And as the saying goes 'You win some, you lose some'....and i did win some...and lose some! Until tomorrow....

---------------------- Newsflash!---------------------

20th September 2004, 09:03

Music - Nightwish - Elvenpath (Album - 'From Wishes To Eternity')

Marking the 100th Anniversairy of the 1904 Welsh revival, yesterday's morning service Gwynne spoke from 2 Kings 18 onwards speaking about how Hezekiah was able to revive the whole of Judah.  Unfortunately only 4 kings later we see the downfall of Judah, and no king reigned until the One Living King came; Christ..  In the evening he finished off the 'Life of Joseph' topic, ending with his death of course.

After the evening service went round Sarah's to have a good old game of Taboo and some Biblical game i can't remember the name of.....and look! have you noticed no skating today!?!

18th September 2004, 23:40

Music - The 29th Chapter - Vessels (Album - 'Full Time')

Woke up at 10:30 this morning wanting to skate, went to Fassnidge Park and found oil all over 2 or the ramps and the roll-in! Was very annoying so got the bus up to Harrow Skatepark and spent the afternoon there.  Then went into Northfields to see The 29th Chapter in concert...awesome Christian MC I saw not too long ago...with powerful lyrics and a great desire to serve God it was grrrrrrrrreat!!

17th September 2004, 23:15

Music - Sepultura - Orgasmatron (Motorhead cover)

Mega busy day at work today surprisingly! Our backup syste failed so was trying to fix that all day! Then did an hour or so skating...managed to pull off a couple of 1-foot impossible's again! Also somehow managed a tailstop fingerflip to rail stand! Don't ask how!! So was good skating...now off to bed

16th September 2004, 23:27

Music - Sepultura - Dead Embryonic Cells (Album - 'Arise')

Another fun day at work *cough*.  Had a couple hours skating again...pulled off some good spins i was quite glad about.  Found out that our local MP (John McDonnell) has £80,000!!! Yes £80,000!!!! to spend on a new skatepark in Hayes just round the corner from where i work and he wants feedback from all the skaters as to what to put in it! Which was a great piece of news for today! Will keep updates on the progress of the park although it's not set to start being built until next summer.

15th September 2004, 23:12

Music - The Killers - On Top (Album - 'Hot Fuss')

Spent today the doing usual work and did a couple more hours skating...was pretty tierd though...helped out at the Junior Youth Club at the church again which was fun..teaching the kids the 4th Commandment this week. Off to bed now for much awaited sleep! Oh yeah also bought 'The Killers' debut album entitled 'Hot Fuss'.  Brilliant new indie band can't wait to hear more of them.

14th September 2004, 23:17

Music - Billy Joel - Leningrad - (Album - 'Storm Front')

Not much done today...the usual at work day, went skating again for an hour or so but it was rather wet so didn't really get to do much!

Then had Steve and Christine over and we watched The Ring.  Very good movie by my views but then i do like the weird ones!

13th September 2004, 20:40

Music - Piebald - American Hearts - (Album - 'We're  The Only Friends We Have')

Just spent this evening doing another 2 hours of skating.  Managed to pull off a couple of old tricks and got some good new footage.

13th September 2004, 13:27

Music - Angra - Wings of Reality (Album - 'Fireworks')

Not much to update on really...have added a few more events to the 'What's going on?' page.  Went for another 7 hour skate session on Saturday..met up with a few kool guys blading, BMXing and skating.  A couple of pics can be found in the photo album.  Sunday morning service, lead by Gwynne, spoke from Matthew 15:19-20 about the evil in this world and how we are all naturally 'evil' in the eyes of God.  Evening, again lead by Gwynne, was a continuation, after a long break, of the life of Joseph.  Almost at the end we came to the death of his father, Jacob, learning that when we face death we should be prepared, and that we should also not over grieve, or not grieve at all at the death of others.

Oh yeah on Friday the senior youth club at the church restarted.  For more info on this either email me or look at the 'Church Life' page on the menu on the left.

8th September 2004, 12:13

Haven't been up to much lately.  Helped a friend clear out a church in Cranford on Monday, there was a room at the back of the church with thousands of wasps there...maybe Pharaoh moved from Egypt for a bit to Cranford and another plague of wasps was sent??

Yesterday had a few people round, watched The Waterboy (Adam Sandler) and then had a Hayes vs Hounslow game of Articulate.  Once again Hayes kept our honourable run of victories over them! Checkmate!

5th September 2004, 13:14

Interesting night yesterday.....During the day i went into Uxbridge just to get some photos printed from last weeks wedding, picked up 2 CD's, 'Time Machine' by Joe Satriani, and 'Hatebreeder' by Children Of Bodom.  Good music there

In the evening went over to Staines Congregational Church, in Staines amazingly, for a mini concert thing.  Thinking all the bands were Christian i was prooved wrong! The first band, heavy rock, good music, bad singer....screeeeeaming down the mic! The next couple of bands got better, and then came on the main band, The 29th Chapter.  Christian MC West London band gave great rapping with powerful lyrics about Christ and the Christian life.  Also containing various interludes where some of the band members spoke about Christ.  They will be playing again in Ealing on September 18th so can't wait for that!

4th September 2004, 11:59

Went round the Pickwick house again last night..watched a bit of the slightly silly Kung Pow movie, followed by the first 2 minutes of Dark Blue World.  We only watched the first 2 minutes because we realised we couldn't understand a word of what was being said; the film was a Czechoslovakian one! Still it only cost me £3.50, now i can see why.  So eventually we all sat down and watched Lord Of The Rings 3.  I've forgotten how many times i've seen this now it must be at least 6 or 7, but it's still a top film! Now on way to Uxbridge to buy some CD's.

3rd September 2004, 08:55

WOW!! Saw Threshold, Balance Of Power and Power Quest last night and they were amazing!!!  Seeing as it was my first heavy metal gig i didn't really know what to expect...maybe a couple of bruises....slight loss of hearing....but in fact i was right at the front leaning on the stage, i got to sing into Mac's (Threshold singer) mic with him, and kinda play Karl Groom's (Threshold rhytm guitarist) guitar!!!  All three bands played brilliantly, especially Power Quest.  Made it home at 01:00 this morning...now my neck hurts from too much headbanging.

2nd September 2004, 08:43

Had a good night bowling yesterday! After waiting an hour and a half to bowl!!! i managed to come only 7th out of 8! Then went home to watch Gumball 3000 The Movie which was quite entertaining, watching 145 tuned supercars racing across America, trying to keep to the speed limits but failing terribly!

1st September 2004, 08:49

Congratulations David & Catherine!!  Witnessed yet another wedding this year..best wishes to Catherine and David who were married on Saturday and will be moving to David's home town in Kenya in 2 weeks.  David is a project leader for Kisima Pastoralists, currently building a Christian school and Resource Centre.  More info is on the website.  God-willing next year a group of us from HTC will be going out to Kenya to help with the work there.

Last night didn't do much, watched Catch Me If You Can for about the tenth time! Good film based on the story of one of the world's youngest con men.

26th August 2004, 09:05

Ended up on a bit of a losing streak last night.  Didn't finish work until 18:00 because i had to make up for leaving early yesterday, at which by that time it had started raining pretty heavy and i had to walk home in my shorts and t-shirt!  Met up with Steve and lost 2-1 at tabletennis, and 2-0 at pool.  Tomorrow though.....well that will be a different story!

25th August 2004, 00:26

Just got in from seeing All American Rejects!!  Was an awesome night out....Didn't realise the support bands until i got there...one was Terra Diablo, and the other Laruso.  Althoughed we got drenched queuing to get in it was worth the wait!  Got to push a few people around, and got oushed around myself which was fun; also managed to catch a Laruso t-shirt thrown out by the band themselves! And then even managed to get a good ol' rub of Tyson Ritter's hair!!! Awesome!!!  Also i came out with my t-shirt being 95% drenched in sweat. Lovely!! Definately going to go again next year if they tour again...great music...and both times i've been the support bands have been just as good.  Now to bed to get ready for work again tomorrow...sigh......

24th August 2004, 11:46

Rain rain rain!!!! That's all we ever get around here!!! It's pathetic!! I'm in work n all but it just the day sooo boring!  Well if it stops raining i shall be out skating again...i haven't got much exercise these last few days just been stuck on computers at work and home!

Just mellowing down now for the All American Rejects gig kickin' off in....7 hours! Can't wait!

22nd August 2004, 21:45

Not much of an eventful day today.  Woke up at 10am....went for a skate at Fassnidge Park at 11ish and didn't finish 'til about 7!!  So got lots of practice in...came home and had a bath...yes i HAD a bath...ended up on here again! Boring!!!!

21st August 2004, 00:39

Again not much done yesterday.  Had a usual time at work, came home, skated for a little, then watched some more skate stuff...ended up on here again!  Tomorrow hope to go skating if it doesn't rain!

20th August 2004, 08:41

No chance to skate yesterday as it rained like crazy!!!!  That didn't stop me going to the prayer meeting though whichwas lead by Graham King, an elder at Hayes Town Chapel, who spoke on 1 Corinthians 1.  The first part of the chapter (verses 1-9) tells us how we are Christians, the next part (verses 10-17) showing the church division in that time and how we all need to follow Christ, and Him alone.  The third and final part (verses 18-31) tells us of the wisdom of God and how we need to seek after spiritual wisdom, not human wisdom.

19th August 2004, 09:38

Not upto much last night...went for a bit of a skate up at the local Civic Centre, then round to Tim's to watch a kickin' skate DVD called Hot Chocolate.  Awesome stuff from the teams one and only tour.  Then home to bed  :-)

Also added some more photos to my very small collection.

18th August 2004, 09:21

Crikey!!!! Who looks after this site huh?? It hasn't been updated in almost a month! S'pose i'd better do it...

Hmmmm the last month.....well from 24th-31st July i went on the camping in Tywyn, Wales, with CCIW. (For more info visit CCIW's website where you can view photos of the camps, and information on how you can go [the camp i went on was the 2004 Camp 1])  That week was tiring enough with all sorts of activites including football, basketball, canoeing, serving dinner...also had a day on the beach in sunny Barmouth, and a lovely mountain climb 893m up Cadaer Idris.  On top of all those goings-ons the week was filled with great preaching from Rev. Gwynne Evans of Hayes Town Chapel, who spoke on the life of Moses, and how we can learn from his many success, and many failures.  After all that i came home for one week of work, then it was off to Aberystwyth for the annual Christian Youth Conference run by EMW (Evangelical Movement of Wales).  The main talks in the morning were run by Andrew Davis, but also in the evenings talks were lead by John Blanchard, Spencer Cunnah, David Carmichael, Alun McNab, and Phillip Swan.  The main topic was that of revival; to the Christians it was a message of how we can serve God and the need to serve God and spread the Gospel; to the non-Christians it was to help them see their need of salvation.

In amongst all this i managed to get in a great deal of skating, which meant a few new injuries including cut arms, legs, and elbows..still learnt a lot, got some great video footage, made some kool new friends and was able to witness to some of the non-Christian skaters and bladers.

Since then have just been back at work, skating...the usual.  Went to see The Bourne Supremacy last night which is an awesome film...especially if you liked the first one...check out the site.

Also upadtes on the upcoming events page, and booked tickets for three more gigs - DragonForce (with special guest), All American Rejects, and Threshold (with Balance Of Power and Power Quest)

Disasterous organising! Had planned to go bowling yesterday...realised i left my wallet at home so waited ages for a bus which never turned up but got someone to bring wallet to bowl for me then realised there was a 1 n half hour wait to bowl so went back to mine to watch a movie.  Phew! Was good to hang out with some new mates, Sereina and Corina i think, from Switzerland.  Also Mr. Russell was there. After watching 'A Knights Tale' had a good chat with Sereina about why England is better than Switzerland.  Apart from the fact that Switzerland is cleaner she seems to think our houses are all the same, and our chicken's aren't happy...... i shall say no more..

Just got back from footy.  Good game ended in a 10-10 draw. Tired though.

Had a very good weekend.  Started off with a round of pitch & putt over Gunnersbury Park.  Didn't do too badly, but didn't do too good either.  Had a lovely chicken tikka roll and an ice blast freeze drink thingy.  Then off to the church for a BBQ and more food.  Then out to Chiquito's for a lovely meal to celebrate me and Karen's birthday.  Had fun with the helium balloons before heading off to Stockley Industrial Park for a stroll.

Well didn't go to see Nightwish in the end!  Wasn't really in the mood.  It was the last youth club tonight so that was good fun to say bye to everyone for the summer.  Just gonna head off to bed now and get some sleep ready for golf tomorrow.  Should be fun! Wohoo!!

Well last Saturday we had our local carnival come to town and that meant our church was preparing a stall again.  We managed to dish out a fair handful of leaflets and a few others had good conversations with locals.  After that went bowling, and then back to the carnival to check out the rides and fireworks....even though it was like a monsoon! Man it is July and all we've had so far is rain and clouD! Good old British summer indeed!

Tonight didn't go football cos of a bad back; so went round Tim's and watch 2 Fast 2 Furious.  Good film! Very fast and very furious it was!

Hmmmmm....well i haven't updated for a while i've forgotten what i've done!!  Ah last Saturday we had our church outing to Littlehampton, played some volleyball til the pitch got waterlogged by the sea!! Had a bit of a skate along the seafront and found a park with a few ramps, fell off once or twice, thankfully the weather held out; it started to rain just as we got on the coach to come back.  After that just went to a mates house to watch the Holland vs Czech Republic game which was interesting, but not as good as England's 4-2 victory over Croatia yeterday!! Come on England!!

Right then what have i done in the last two days????? Aha - Friday as planned i went skydiving!  What an experience i recommend it to anyone who isn't reeeeeeally scared of heights and isn't pregnant.  A bit pricey but well worth it if you're only planning on doing it once..which i am nt cos i'll gonna try go again this year!

Got back OK as you can tell and went out to the usual Friday youth club which is always good.....

Saturday started the day off by going out to Gunnersbury Park meeting up with some others from various local churches...played a bit of non-stop cricket and walked round the park admiring the ducks.  Didn't stay for the barbeque though as i had planned to go down to Hyde Park for another church youth meeting.  Met up with loads of London churches  and played volleyball and football and roudners n stuff.  Good to meet four Brazilian guys who were over the park and wanted to join in....Mickey from Amyand Park invited them to the chapel next Sunday so lets pray for them!!!  All-in-all a very good weekend.

10th June 2004, 15:33

Today just having a very slow day at work indeed.  Not much to do...need to go into Uxbridge this evening to take some photos back, Jessops didn't print
